31st Dresden Bridge Symposium

Lecture by Dipl.-Ing. Anton Braun

After delays and a turn to an online programme during the pandemic, this year's Dresden Bridge Symposium will again be held in person. The biggest annual German meeting for the field of bridge engineering is organised by the TU (Technical University) Dresden, the association Freunde des Bauingenieurwesens der TU Dresden e.V. and TUDIAS GmbH, and will take place on 7 and 8 June at TU Dresden.

Member of SSF’s board of directors Dipl.-Ing. Anton Braun will hold a lecture about the Filstal viaduct, part of the newly built railway line Wendlingen-Ulm – integral structures with special static-structural challenges. The 485-m long, double-tracked and semi-integrally designed bridge crosses the Filstal valley on two separated superstructures on up to 80-metre high Y-piers and with a main span width of 150 metres; on both valley sides it connects to tunnels.

The entire programme and link to the registration are on the event Flyer
