SSF Ingenieure Award 2018

Daniel Glomb convinces with his master’s thesis at the Department of Civil Engineering at Munich University

In the framework of the BI-Forum, held at the University's Audimax on 28 November 2018, SSF director Helmut Wolf presented this year's SSF Award to the graduate Daniel Glomb. Together with the students, the members of the association Friends of Civil Engineering - University Munich (Verein der Freunde des Bauingenieurwesens e.V.) reflected on the research activities of the Department of Civil Engineering.

 

Daniel Glomb, graduate of master studies General Civil Engineering, completed his studies this year with a thesis on "Experimental and numerical analysis of crack and tension behaviour of concrete objects with basalt fibre composite reinforcement". Professor Christoph Dauberschmidt and professor Christian Schuler from the Faculty 02 Civil Engineering supervised the thesis.

 

For his outstanding master thesis Mr. Daniel Glomb has been awarded the SSF Ingenieure Award 2018. We congratulate Mr. Glomb to this successful completion of his studies!
