An inventiv construction method developed by SSF Engineers, called VFT-WIB(R), is applied in Austria. The Austrian Railway Company OeBB is using the new system next to Vigaun (A). The VFT-WIB®-brigde over 3 spans will be built as frame over the railway link Salzburg-Woergl. The construction is an enhancement of the VFT®-method and its costs are competitive to common bridges out of prefabricated prestressed girders. The piers and abutments are being built right now and the bridge will be in service end of 2008.
