Munich’s currently largest construction project is advancing: Construction of the second regional train main line started with deep excavation at central station. After more than three years installing diaphragm walls, primary supports, wells and measuring equipment as well as the first two ceilings, excavation began on 11/9/23 underneath the first suspended ceiling. The next steps comprise the level-by-level excavation and building of each suspended ceiling as bracing element for the diaphragm walls on in total five levels until a depth of 40 metres.
