The lot BC 18 is part of the north-south connection of the Delhi metro. The total length of this lot is 3.8 km. The Malviya Nagar station will be built by means of a construction pit enclosure with a girder and plank wall and rock nailing, and the Hauz Khas station will be built in lid construction with diaphragm walls. The starting shafts for the tunnel boring machine will be built in open type of construction. Each station has a length of 318 metres and is 20.65 metres wide.
