The radio tower Leipzig with its 191 metres is the highest structure in the city's area. SSF Ingenieure signed responsible for the structure's project planning and structural engineering as well as technical installations and outside installations. The foundation consists of 360 m3 reinforced concrete inserted into the ground. The 170-metre high and 190-tonne heavy grid construction was assembled by individual levels with a mobile special crane. The 21-metre long antenna shaft and conductor could at this height only be mounted by helicopter - SSF Ingenieure prepared this operation in consultation with the airport Leipzig/Halle.
