To improve floodwater protection, a new bridge with a larger span width over river Salzach was required on the link road between Zell am See and Kaprun. The new bridge is a trough structure built by composite construction method. VFT-WIB® (rolled girders in concrete) slabs and a cast-in-situ supplement form the carriageway slab. Prefabricated π-slabs with external reinforcement are used. The external reinforcement is galvanized.
