The project comprises the replacement of the bridge over river Weser, part of federal road B241, between Beverungen and Lauenförde including the construction of around 120 metres of connecting road.

The bridge is implemented as composite deck slab in the foreland area, as steel composite bridge and tied-arch bridge with composite deck slab at the spans over the river.

The whole superstructure is pre-built next to the existing bridge on temporary structures. After demolition of the old bridge incl. its substructure, the new abutments and piles are erected on footings. Subsequently, the structure is connected to the new, slightly changed, road alignment.
