Elisabethbridge
First German bridge built using VTR construction method

16
months of construction time
The new replacement building was constructed in modular design with a high degree of prefabrication.
Essential for public transport
- The Elisabethbrücke in Halle is the central link for tram, pedestrian and cycle traffic between the old and new city centres
- The Saale flood in 2013 severely damaged the bridge, which therefore had to be replaced with a new one
- Tram systems have been modernised and made accessible in order to improve the quality and frequency of public transport services
