Every year, the SSF award is presented to students of the Department of Civil, Geo and Environmental Engineering at Technical University Munich for outstanding bachelor theses. This year the award goes to Martin Hefel. His thesis at the Chair of Structural Analysis on the subject “Development of a FEM slab tool based on a girder grid” convinced the jury which comprises members of the award commission and experts of the professoriate.
This year again, the award ceremony, usually taking place during the Open Day of the engineering department, was cancelled due to the pandemic. Instead, SSF Ingenieure invited the winner to its offices in Munich to award him his certificate. Mr Hefel presented the results of this work during a lecture, and afterwards, Helmut Wolf, board member of SSF Ingenieure AG, handed him his certificate.
We congratulate Mr Hefel to his successful graduation and are pleased to give him this year’s SSF award.
