SSF Ingenieure AG - Award 2016

We congratulate Maximilian Höck on his successful performance!

On his excellent master’s thesis with the subject “Comparison of three variations of integral frame bridges with hybrid cross section” for his Master studies of concrete construction, Faculty 02 Civil Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Munich

Tutor: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Seiler

Awarded by: Prof. Dr. Jörg Jungwirth

“The Master thesis excels by its structured and analytic approach to the task in the field of structural engineering, that is the analysis of load-bearing behaviour of different hybrid heavy plate trough bridges in integral construction method. In addition to general variant concepts, the stringent FE modelling, dimensioning and verifications, load distribution behaviour of the heavy plates and structural and constructional aspects of the variations are elaborated. and advantages of this construction method compared to usual steel trough solutions are demonstrated.

Moreover, the meticulous design of structural particularities of the hybrid load-bearing structure in the context of structural engineering is very convincing…”

Overall a very successful Master thesis which deserves the SSF Ingenieure – Award 2016.
