SSF Ingenieure AG at UrbanTec 2011

Future-Efficient Design

From 24 to 26 October the premiere of the exhibition UrbanTec took place in Cologne. The fair focuses on the rapid development of cities, especially in threshold countries, their challenges of urban life and sustainable planning.

UN experts anticipate the world’s population living in cities to grow by 70 % until 2050, and according to a recent OECD study more than 30 trillion euro will be invested until 2030 into urban infrastructure of the currently 22 megacities around the world.
In the face of this development action is required. Christian Ude, president of the German Association of Cities, emphasized in his speech that the ecological problems of those cities cannot be solved by technology alone but require a foresighted, integrated urban planning as important part of the solution.

The SSF Group shows at UrbanTec 2011 in Cologne a wide range of sustainable solutions for the cities of the future.
For more than 40 years SSF AG has designed and realised projects in the areas of building engineering, transport infrastructure and urban development. Amongst the specialist fields of SSF Group count, for example, development of commercial and industrial sites, structural engineering and project planning for building, bridge and tunnel projects, road and railway construction, transport planning, traffic technology and traffic safety audits, asset management for infrastructure groups, roads, bridges, tunnels and buildings, project management of private and public construction projects, residential construction and commercial infrastructure.

As internationally operating company with offices in Germany, Poland, Rumania, China and Brazil as well as infrastructure projects throughout the world, SSF Group contributes already to this rapid development and is positively influencing the city of the future.
