Last weekend (14+15/08/2021), 20 of our colleagues at SSF Berlin formed a relay team to participate in the Berlin Wall Race. This event has been taking place for the last 10 years, commemorating the victims of the Berlin Wall between 1961 and 1989.
The course runs on 100 miles (161.30 km) along the trail formerly guarded by GDR border patrol around West Berlin. Overall, our relay team completed the course in 15:47.13 hours and came in 34th in the overall ranking of 410 finishers (relay and individual runners). The last runner crossed the finish line just before midnight, accompanied and cheered by the other relay members and the SSF fan club.
A great sporting performance and a successful team event!
