The Digitalisation of Construction on the Example of the Filstal Bridge

With four pilot projects, amongst them the Filstal Bridge in the course of the new railway line Stuttgart – Ulm, the potential of digitalisation is tested in practice.

On October 10th, 2014, the reform commission ‘Großprojekte’ (large-scale construction projects) under the lead of Federal Minister Alexander Dobrindt assembled for its fourth meeting. Work goal of the experts from business, science, the public sector and associations is to identify structural problems at large construction projects and to establish propositions how schedules and cost plans for large-scale construction projects can be met in the future.

SSF Ingenieure AG in engineering joint venture with Schneider & Partner Ingenieur-Consult GmbH has been commissioned with approval and final design of the 50 million euro project.
