SSF Ingenieure Supports Students
22. November 2024
Award ceremony of the Deutschlandstipendium and SSF Ingenieure Award
This month the “Deutschlandstipedium”, a public-private sponsored scholarship, has been awarded at the University of Wuppertal. 272 students were honoured – a new record at the university. The following academic year, we support the scholar Tim Zuckel. Our colleagues Christoph Lange and Kevin von Goufein participated at the ceremony.
The Deutschlandstipedium has united students and sponsors for more than ten years – a successful commitment actively followed for many years by SSF Ingenieure. Currently, we support young engineers at six universities all over Germany: at FH Potsdam, HS Augsburg, HTWK Leipzig, HS Karlsruhe, University of Wuppertal and TU Munich.
In addition to the Deutschlandstipendium, this month we also presented the SSF Ingenieure award, endowed with 1,500 euros, at University of Wuppertal. The SSF Ingenieure award honours students at selected universities for their outstanding theses. Since last year, the price has also been awarded at University of Wuppertal. This year, Tobias Koester received the award for his bachelor’s thesis “On the external stability of suspension-supported diaphragm walls: development and testing of a trial station to analyse diaphragm walls supported by bentonite suspension”. Our colleagues Sören Klein and Nick Blau presented the award during the graduation ceremony of the civil engineering and transportation engineering faculties.

This summer, the SSF Ingenieure award was also granted at TU Munich. Maximilian Hinterschwepfinger convinced with his bachelor’s thesis: „Analyses of the load-bearing behaviour of composite girders during fire incidences by means of finite-element method”. Director Helmut Wolf presented the certificate during the Department Days ceremony.
