The SSF Ingenieure Award is granted yearly for an outstanding diploma thesis at Technical University Munich. This year the prize, remunerated with 2,000 euros, is awarded to Maximilian Bernhardt, who convinced us with his bachelor’s thesis on the “analysis of the effect of wall thickness on shear-compressive load-bearing behaviour of masonry made of small bricks”

Board member Helmut Wolf presented the certificate at the graduation ceremony on 11 July. We are happy to recognise outstanding diploma theses and to encourage students to approach new tasks and challenges with commitment, curiosity, resolution and ideally with enthusiasm.

In addition to Technical University Munich, every year the award is also given out at University of Wuppertal.
