These measures are part of the comprehensive works in the surroundings of the Elstertal viaduct replacement project.

In addition to the station’s conversion, the entire two tracks and two switches were replaced, a retaining wall and culvert newly built. Additionally, all cables for 50 Hz signalling and telecommunications technology were renewed.

SSF Ingenieure was contracted for this project by Deutsche Bahn AG for construction management and supervision as well as supervision of railway constructions. Moreover, SSF signed responsible for safety and health protection coordination (SiGeKo) and accompanied the project until its successful reopening.
