Railway Project Hamburg Altona

Railway station Hamburg-Altona will be relocated. At the new location in Diebsteich, a modern station will be erected that corresponds to the increasing passenger volume and provides a comfortable and barrier-free journey for users.

The first of four platforms with its regional train tracks has already been completed at the new station.

Around 25 kilometres of new tracks are placed at the new station, and more than 60 new switches, an electronic interlocking system, a fuelling system, storage sidings, operation buildings of the German railway company DB AG and warehouses are being built. Moreover, two bridges will be renewed and four engineering structures dismantled.
