Important Milestone at Railway Bridge Lindwurmstrasse in Munich

05. November 2025

Temporary bridges excavated and first superstructure successfully launched

On the weekend of 25 and 26 October 2025, an important construction stage took place at our construction site in Munich: the temporary bridges at Lindwurmstrasse were excavated and removed – subsequently, the first superstructure of the new railway bridge was launched into its final position.

This step marks important progress at the project and, at the same time, was an impressive spectacle for everyone involved. Some of our colleagues used the opportunity to see the works on site. Construction supervisor Daniel Deutschland showed interested visitors around the construction site and explained the complex launching procedure.

The project comprises the new construction of the railway bridge at Lindwurmstrasse in Munich’s urban area. A particular challenge is the location withing the city’s busy traffic zone and the ongoing railway operation during the entire construction time. Our team signs responsible for project planning and structural engineering as well as construction supervision contracted by DB InfraGO AG.

Already in May, the rolled concrete girders (WiB) of the first construction section were laterally launched. The successful launching of the first superstructure now is another huge step – the second will be executed as planned at the end of November.
