Honours – a great distinction for our team
At the award ceremony of the Ernst & Sohn engineering award 2026 on 27 February in Berlin, the project “modernisation of the underground station Sendlinger Tor Munich” was honoured. This year’s award winner is the project Hyperschale Magdeburg by CARBOCON Gmbh .
Our project was one of the five best projects out of 50 high-ranking competition contributions from all areas of civil engineering. The award honours challenging technological solutions, innovative construction logistics and committed collaboration between all participants.
Modernisation of Sendlinger Tor underground station impressively demonstrates how public infrastructure can be renovated, functionally and aesthetically upgraded and made barrier-free while operation is ongoing.
“It is a great privilege to receive the honours. It confirms the excellent work our team has done and the commitment of all participants”, says Michael Weizenegger, head of the department for large-scale project/specialised and tunnel engineering in Munich.
