Loading terminal for motor vehicles at the old station Sendling Südbahnhof

Motorails offer a congestion-free alternative for holidaymakers but, eight years ago, the German railway company DB suspended their programme for profitability reasons. However, the private company Train4you still operates a connection between Munich and Hamburg, DB had to build a new loading terminal. The old terminal had to make way for Munich’s second main railway line, and the new terminal was erected at the old station Südbahnhof at Thalkirchner Strasse.

In January 2024, construction works started and are now completed; the new loading terminal has been opened.

SSF Ingenieure was contracted for the design of two access structures as well as a service building. The single-storey service building is equipped with a façade made of Alucobond, a flat roof and has a gros floor area of 250 m².
