Building Bridges with SSF

On 25 May 2025, at the Peissnitzhaus in Halle, the Family Church Day took place – this year under the motto “Building bridges”. There couldn’t have been a more fitting motto for us – so Lisa, Lorenz and Shadi from our SSF Halle team were at the event hosting a booth.
Under the title “Bridge building – engineers of tomorrow tracing statics”, children could discover in a playful manner how exciting building bridges is. With a lot of enthusiasm, they built Kapla bridges – and it wasn’t only about creativity but also the first principles of statics. During a memory game, the children got to know different bridge types. Due to the weather, a walk around the playground was not possible, during which the children would have acted as bridge inspectors.

Many curious questions around bridge building were asked – and we answered them with great joy. A big thank you to everyone who visited our booth, helped build and play – it was great fun!
