7th Bridge Colloquium at Technical Academy Esslingen

On 29 and 30 September 2026, the 7th Bridge Colloquium will take place at Technical Academy Esslingen (TAE). The symposium will be dedicated to recent challenges in bridge engineering – from maintenance to replacement constructions to innovative materials and construction methods to BIM and digital methods.

Our colleague Andreas Danders, manager of our branch in Halle (Saale), will present a practical example for the use of modular construction methods with his lecture “Modular construction with a high degree of prefabrication – replacement of Elisabeth Bridge in Halle (Saale)”.

The lecture demonstrates on the replacement of Elisabeth Bridge how a high degree of prefabrication and modular construction method can be used to design construction processes efficiently and to minimise interference with ongoing traffic. Andreas Danders will give insights into the design and implementation of this challenging bridge project.

The bride colloquium brings together experts from civil engineering offices, construction companies, administrations, research and operators, and offers a platform for discussions about recent developments and practical solutions in bridge engineering.
