29th Munich Conference on Structural Concrete

24. November 2025

Lecture by Michael Weizenegger about design challenges at stop point central station of the 2nd regional train main line and adjoining structures

On 21 November, the 29th Munich Conference on Structural Concrete took place at the Technical University Munich. Numerous practical subjects regarding challenging design and construction projects were presented.

Our colleague Michael Weizenegger, head of the tunnel infrastructure department in Munich, held a lecture about current design challenges at the stop point central station of the 2nd regional train main line and adjoining structures.

Construction of the 2nd regional train main line is one of the most important infrastructure projects in Munich. It aims at relieving the highly frequented regional train line, improving the existing network and providing new long-term mobility concepts. The large-scale project entails three new underground stations – one of them at Munich Central Station.
