Metro Station Marienplatz, Platform Widening

The platform expansion executed as a miner's tunnel in splashing concrete style was carried out in the protection of an icing-up screen with the help of pilot galleries, foundation icing-up and groundwater diversion. For the connection of the two new pedestrian tunnels to the station Marienplatz and to the existing platforms openings of the existing walls with ceilings and soling transfer structures were necessary.

The project was awarded the Bavarian National Award for the course of engineering work.
