For the traffic-related development of the new Allianz Arena with its 69,000 spectators, the existing motorway A9 (2.4 km of fundamental upgrading for up to 10 traffic lanes) and the motorway A99 (2.1 km of widening for up to 8 traffic lanes in the Fauna-Flora Habitat area using special construction methods) had to be upgraded, the existing junctions M.-Fröttmaning-South and M.-Neuherberg be strengthened and a new half junction be built on the motorway A99 for the traffic directions both from and to the west. Period of time from the beginning of the planning process until the release for traffic was only 40 months!
